The first map shows the reported life satisfaction in each country. The data derive from the life satisfaction question in the 2005 Gallup Poll and the World Values Survey.

The second map is an Education Index put together by Maplecroft, which assesses the basic levels of educational attainment of a country to reveal the potential risk and effect an under-skilled workforce may have on the business environment and other development related issues. For the second-year running, Cuba was rated as the lowest risk country.
